To all,
In response to questions about creating machinable text in AutoCAD I
have posted a DXF and IGS file of text exported from MasterCAM. I
used the default text and a size of .25. The file includes capital
and lowercase letters, numbers, and some punctuation marks.
A shop I used to work at had Unigraphics, which didn't have
machinable text (like AutoCAD)and their solution was to import a text
file from MasterCAM (in the shop) to Unigraphics (in engineering). It
was a quick solution to the problem.
I've included both DXF and IGS files so perhaps more people can make
use of it. Filenames: text.dxf & text.igs
