Tell us more. What software are you using, what are your motors and how
are they connected to the machine (belts & leadscrews, rack & pinion,
diret drive, etc.) and help us to understand your power supply and what
the machine is like. Very hard to give any suggestions with the little
bit you posted. The more we know the more we can help. Have you tried
using any other controller software to verify this? What are you seeing
that makes you say you are losing steps?
