Same here, ready to order but ho has the
best bang for the buck not nessesarily the
lowest price?
Still waiting to get a quote from some MFG's.
But probably will end up with McMaster or Roton.
Question did any of you that bought the McMaster
stuff use two ballscrews together to get a
backlash free adjustable nut?
Some other MFG's show Pics of there assembled
doublenut and there is a little adapter fitting
in between.
I plan on fabricating this adapterfitting myself
if I go with those screws.
Reading through the info it seams that some MFG's use
a spring kind of mechanism between the doublenuts
to provide a fixed amount of preload.
This may be one of those things that works well in
practise but looking at it from a theoretical point
of view this seams awfull, the second nut would merly
act as some sort of damper.
I was planing on making something that is adjustable but
when locked would keep a fixed distance between the nuts.
Is my thinking wrong here?
How did you end up with this on your machine?
Thanks for reading this.
