Got the price for the rotating ballnut today...I think we'd all better
sit down!!
$2342.00 USD was what I was quoted for one 25mm x 5mm pitch screw 15" long,
plus one rotating ballnut.
I do believe it's time to roll my own.
Thanks both of you, for all your valuable suggestions.
I'm going to get info on rolled screws and preloaded regular nuts tomorrow.
Then I'll knock up a nice housing with a couple of angular contact bearings,
bolt a timing pulley to the end of the nut, and call it done.
