I get an impression you have assumed that all nema 42's are 2.1 volts
and 9 amps, if so you are incorrect, they come with varying voltage
and current ratings




My router has a nema 42 of 3.6 volts and 6.1 amps.


A few weeks ago on ebay there were a couple of nema 42's with 4 amp
current ratings.




Some motor plates only give some of the ratings.


If your motor plate only tells you the voltage OR the current, you
need to measure the resistance with a digital multimeter and use that
figure to calculate the missing parameter with the formula


R=E/I
