Switch off the power, pull the fuse, and keep it next to the totary
table for safe keeping.
I'm not sure if just grounding pin 7 to stop the drive, if that is
enough.
you could make a second connector and cable it to the first. the
second would have the fuse/link or jumper that connected power.
