Dave,
Axial bearings are shown.
Article calls for needle radial body inside of the screws.
IMHO in this case Axial bearings are much more important then radial,
since there is considerable axial load. Since radial load shouldn't be very
high, and RPM's are low, its probably possible install bronze bushings in
place of radial bearings, to save efforts and $$.
