Saw motor

Here's one for the motor mavens. Would a vari-speed DC motor having a bit of
hunting, or jerkiness at low RPM, clean up it's act if you put a cap across the
power leads? It might be good for driving a spindle, but I'm not sure if I
want to get this particular one, or not.
