John, I would suggest contacting dolphin support to request PDF files of
the manuals. (Did you search for .PDF and .DOC files in the Dolphoin
directory?)
I cannot imagine why they would not be included in the demo download. I
know what they are in the full download.
I had no CAD experience before working with Dolphin, so I really cannot
make a fair comparison between Dolphin and anything else.
What I can say is that, 2 years ago, when I looked at several packages, the
interface and process made the most sense to me. This, coupled with the
responsive support from Michael, prompted my purchase of the product.
I am still learning.

it
and the ONLY doc's I can find are the help stuff which is cumbersome to use
at best. The program looks good, although it has a much different
interface
than what I am used to. It looks like it would be good but I will need
some
time with it. My problem with most CAD programs, and it is my problem, is
that I learned on AutoCAD and therefore I like / prefer that AutoCAD type
of
interface and command structure. I personally find it much faster to type
many of the commands than going through menus and dialog boxes to get what
I
want, but that is just my preference and not a reflection on Dolphin or any
other CAD product.
Just for the record, I currently use Intellicad 2001 since I refuse to pay
AutoDesk any more money. CAD is one of those sort of religious things,
like
Ford verses Chevrolet, it really comes down to what the individual likes
and
is used to and that will get the job at hand done.
