I also have 2019CR setup in our workshop. You do not need Geckos to
drive one. A Xylotex will have all the power you need. I am driving mine
on a DenverCNC turnkey box that you just plug in as all the wiring is
done. I am using 114 oz/in motors on the X & Y and it is more than
plenty. I do have a 215 oz/in motor on the Z axis, but I am not sure it
is giving me any advantage as it is not capable of the RPM the smaller
motors are so the end result is the Z feed is about the same with both
the larger and smaller motor. Just as a side note, I get much higher
feeds with the identical motors on the Taig than I do on the Sherline.
The Taig seems to be much smoother moving. As far as sources, there are
plenty including me. I can give you a pretty sharp deal on the complete
setup if you would prefer to get it all from a single source. I am
listed as a Taig dealer under my jewelry tool and supply store A2Z
