Good point, I never thought of that! My turret uses a worm and wheel so it
should be fairly resistant to being back driven but it is worth keeping in
mind.

BTW on a machine with a rear turret, which spindle direction is 'forwards'.
Clockwise or anticlockwise(looking at the chuck)?
