Fact G-code IS RS-274D

Fact Gerber IS RS-274X

Fact RS-274-X is not RS-274-D

Therefore it would seem that your experience would indicate that
making a statement that "Gerber is G-code" seems less than helpful to
beginners and as I have pointed out, also inaccurate.

Just because the language of France is derived from Latin does not
make French the same as the Latin language.

It may have similarities, yes, but the sameness that you would say
that French is Latin? The same is true of RS274X and RS274D.
