My raster-to-toolpath code is written in C, and uses some GPL-style raster
image libraries. It could be available -- it is available on my internal
CVS server. I support ssh connections to the cvs server.

Are you a developer? With the ".edu" address, I imagine that you are a
programmer.

If you are a user, it currently runs under Linux. It could also compile as
a Windows console ap.

It currently supports two algorithms -- an edge walking algorithm and a
raster-cutting algorithm. When the tool path is determined, there is a
subsequent optimization pass to reduce the time needed to cut the image.
