Hi Mike,
I am surly no expert on cnc routers but the size of equipment you are
describing sounds more like metal working machinery than sized for foam
cutting. Seems to me what you need is more on the order of a very heavy duty
plotter with a cutting head. Maybe a laminate cutter would do. Seems to me
that the table could be very light and easy to move thus cutting way down on
motor and lead screw sizes. If sagging of the 10 ft screw is a problem
using a smaller diameter screw it possible to build in supports for the
screw that move with the ball nut. This was the practice on long machinery
in years gone past.
Think about it.
