A few little bits of info: I've seen all the parts needed for an EZ-Trak
on eBay and elsewhere - motors, ballscrews, pcb's. A good source of help
and parts for Bridgeport iron is EMI - (Electro-Mechanical
Integrators), they are largely guys that used to be at the Bridgeport
works in Connecticut before Hardinge bought them. (
http://www.emi-inc.net/ )
BP EZ-Trak software is good for a start - it has a great interface and
easy canned cycles, and a graphical preview mode, it is fairly easy to
get. I use FeatureCam (http://featurecam.com/) SW (2 1/2 degree) for
.dxf translations and it works, has some power and features, but some
flakiness as well, at least the older versions. New stuff is expensive,
so I don't know. None of this makes a complete package, but check with
EMI about packages.
