I have often imagined this, myself, but the PROBLEM would be that would not
be very adjustable, nor would it be interchangeable. Possibly, too, the pitch
of the screw might VARY enough along the length that such a "squeezed" nut
would vary in freedom/backlash along the length. Jan Rowland
