I don't believe it. I think you are a stalker. But really, people with similar interests are bound to show up on the same forums.
As to doing it once, cut something cheap the first time, like MDF or wax. When it cuts perfectly, then use the real stuff.
My Sherline conversion uses the original lead screws and backlash is very minimal. You can compensate in most software to help hide it.

I'll be cutting 3/32 wide channels 1/16th deep mostly ..
I just want repeatabilty..

Unless I set the RT at 45 ...
