While I don't have my spindle on a ups, everything else is. should power
fail, I can retract, go to home and shut down properly.

and yes, mine are quite big (the UPS's) I have about a dozen or so
throughout the office and shop, basic pc's get 1400VA, servers each
get a dedicated 3000VA unit and the router has a 3000VA unit. If anybody
needs one or two, I have several that need new batteries, (4 @ 25 or so
from digikey)
that I would part with. a couple of 3000VA units, a 2200VA unit and a
few smaller 1400-2200 units.(pickup only, I won't ship)
