These motors should be plenty sufficient. What drives are you using?
Gecko 320? What do you mean they fault almost immediately?
Do you mean the servo amps are stable and resist any attempt to
move the machine manually, but they fault when commanded to
move by the CNC program? What CNC program are you using?
Can you jog .0001" at a time? How about .001"?
What is your power supply voltage?
