>I'm not sure which version of Bobcad is being referenced as a CAM only software but, Version 18 is definitely a 3-D CAD program as well as a 3-D CAM program. Drawing templates etc. Any of these lower end softwares and that includes Bobcad are what they are, low cost. We get what we pay for. Can't expect features of a $30k Cad-Cam design software for 199 bucks, just isn't going to happen unless it's stolen. For someone working in a 2D environment with the occasional need for 3-D capabilities, Bobcad is an excellent package for the money. The key to smooth operation with Bobcad is the training CD's. After a little training, its very easy to use and ample for any jobshop. Without any training its a glitchy hung up mess. I downloaded the trial version on two different occasions and deleted it before I wound up buying it eventually on the third try. I use it daily now and would much rather have it than not. What kind of machines are you using it on ?
