I don't think that EDM is being specifically worked on for EMC2. I was
only mentioning a possible method of making the standard motion
controller possibly take corrections from an external source.

So, I don't think that this will be a standard feature of EMC2. It
could be added though, since EMC2 is licensed under the GPL.
