Hey guys,
I was only trying to describe it not evoke a diction on how to harden it
Let only be said that i intend to use it as linear guide, soft.

I think you a two are talking about two different things. Heating
metal to red is heat treating. Heating metal to 350 deg for a couple
of hours with a slow cooling is stress relieving. The way i
understand it.
