While my Bridgeport table is a bit jury rigged (runs on linear rails
instead of dovetails), I cam push the steppers to drive it at over
200 ipm without losing steps (don't however, I keep it at about 100
ipm for rapids). Steppers are Sigma NEMA 42's vintage 1970's. I run
at 72 volts, 3.5 amps, 1/2 winding. Using two API CMD-260 drives and
one Gecko 201.
