First Time poster..
I to am looking at various software possibilites. I currently design in
SolidWorks and would like the cap. to do some composite molds and bucks. I'd
like to start w/ a full 3 axis [gantry] set up and then move up to at least
a 5 axis unit in the future once I have a handle on the 3 axis. I'm
wondering if anyone has experiance w/ a window's [ DOS is beyond me ...]
based CAM software package which will import my files and creat code? I'm
thinking that if I'm going to move to 5 axis code I might as well spend the
money now to get to that level, learn 1 program and be done w/ it. Instead
of purchasing a $700 program now getting comfortable and then having to
spend the full amount anyway and have to re-learn later...I've been pointed
to FeatureCam and wondering if others have used it or..?
