I got a bottom-of-the-line digital camera so I could put pictures on my
web
page, and sell stuff on eBay. It is the Mitsubishi DJ-1000. It has a
flash card
and peephole viewer, no LCD at all. Amazingly, I am on the original
batteries
after almost a year, and they still read OK in the camera! This is a
320 x 200
imager, and I turn it on, take a couple of pictures and turn it off, so
i am
actively conserving the batteries, but I was surprised by life after
hearing so many
similar complaints as you make. (This camera works best outside, hates
fluorescent
light sources, barely capable of getting an image with 300 Watts of
reflector floods,
the parallax on the viewer is awful, and no zoom of any sort, so I don't
really
recommend it.)
