I mounted a Sherline Mill on a small Chinese surface plate some years ago,
drilled the holes blind, with a masornary drill bit so that inserts would fit
in loosely in place, poured epoxy around them, I use the mill itself to
hold them in place while curing. I put some grease on the bolts to be sure they
would release later.
Later, I removed the mill, draw filed the tops to be sure nothing was proud
of the surface.

The Sherline had been previously mounted on a wooden surface, so the bottom
of its mounts were not all true and flat, and this caused a couple of the
inserts to be slightly proud of the surface, at there edges. Flattened the
mounting holes on the mill.

Remounted the mill............

Was easy to do, came out excellent,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
