If this machine had the rigidity of at least a Taig or the 150 Lb
micro-mill,
then I think it would be a good base to start from. But, if it is very
flimsy. it might only be used for light wood carving, and of less general
appeal. I'm sure you could reach this price on the materials, alone, but
to actually assemble the machine for $250 sounds pretty difficult.
