Gecko connection to unipolar stepper??

Hey guys,

Here is what I have and what it's doing..

I'm trying to connect a 6 wire unipolar 3 volt 3 amp stepper to a
Gecko 201 drive.

With an ohm meter and a D size battery I determined which set of
windings are which.

A and a lead are I'm assuming one full winding. As the ohmeter shows
2.3 ohms across it. If I take either a or A lead to common I get
half the resistance. Hence, half the winding. I connected A to phase
A and a to phase B on the Gecko. Same with the other set of
windings. B to phase C and b to phase D.

Have 34 volts DC coming in. Power light comes on and nothing. No
smoke no pop no motion. I don't know if I have the step and dir pins
called out properly in the software. I'm checking that now, thought
that may enable it somehow.

Any input on this would be most appreciated.
