DON'T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do a clean install. - Boot to the XP cd, begin the install, at some
point it will say a qualify product was not found. Now insert
your 'OLD' Windows CD and it will find it. Then it will have you re-
insert the XP cd and the install continues.

This gives a much smaller install (no abandoned files) and less
errors. Not to mention you saved an extra hour of not installing the
old windows.
