A few more notes on PCB milling, I like using a 60 degree V cutter
much better than trying to use a small endmill, its real easy to snap
off endmills that small and that gets expensive and frustrating real
fast.
With a V cutter you also have the luxury of being able to tweak your
final trace widths by adjusting the cut depth and thus width, and the
cutters are much tougher and I haven't busted one yet.
I use a cutter from Micro100, their part number is RSC-125-2, that's a
1/8" body, 60-degree angle, double end one and you can get them from
www.mscindustrial.com .
I started out using the DeskPCB package, this will read in Gerber
files and output .dfx files, which I would then read into SheetCAM to
generate the G code. But then since I use Eagle for my PCB design I
realized it would output the HP plot format directly, which SheetCAM
can read in.
