ITX board I use for Mach-in-a-box has a PAL/NTSC output, but I have
trouble getting the output to lock up on a TV if I forget to switch the
default to PAL. I think that as long as the output is 625 line PAL or
NTSC is not a problem, but since the NTSC selection also switches to 525
line the cheap small TV's seem to have a problem :(
Modern sets may be less of a problem, but most workshops seem to have
old sets salvaged from the house and borrowing the new one from the
house is not an option ;)
Of cause the LCD panel to be used with Mach-in-a-box is then easier to
justify if the old tele will not work :)
