Curious you picking two ball screws.
I've just stripped the ball screw on my big mill. Those I have stripped in
the past were always one track with a bit of pipe to return the balls from
one end to the other.
Now I have it apart, my machine uses two ball nuts, each runs the balls in
one turn with a junction to drop the balls one turn. They do this five times
in each ball nut. But the ball nuts come together with a taper face and a
sprung steel ring with tapered faces between on a clamp, tightened to zero
the back lash.

Billy:
I got my ballscrews and nuts from McMaster Carr. I got two-per-axis and put
a spring between each two. A hose clamp and a piece of aluminum angle holds
it all together. Here's a picture:

The springs are valvesprings from an old lawnmower engine - nothing fancy.
The ballscrews and ballnuts are the cheapest in the McMaster Carr catalog
(website) and are 5/8" units.

Hello
I have started building a small cnc mill .Iam at the point that
i must select stepper motors and ball screws,
The table is a Enco milling table
I need 3 ball screws and nuts about 2o " long.
I am seeking advice about the screws and motors, remembering this
my first CNC build. It will be 4 axis ,one for a dividing head.
Does anyone have experience with rolled screws.
Help:o)
