Never thought about the market that way, seems silly now. I see loads of
catalogues full of motion stuff, and brain had taken the thought, strange
don't seem to see many CNC people, must be because I live in a remote area
of the country, rather than other just use them to move things. I've got to
get some more grey matter.
All my end thrust races are adjustable with ground thrust washers and radial
bearings. I normally tighten these by hand so they move without feeling the
rollers, but there is a little play here. My experience on the ball screw is
that you can feel the ball movement, when the nuts are set together. Perhaps
I need to tighten the end races a little more. Then again I don't need any
more accuracy, and I'd rather not damage the races so probably best leave
where it is.
