Rob,
I recently completed a retrofit on my Series I, using the
original Superior steppers. I built new controls with Gecko 203's, a
breakout board from Bob Campbell, and a used HP power supply. It's
amazingly smooth and quiet under power. If you really need bushings to
adapt a different size shaft, post a sketch with dimensions on photos
in this group, and there are probably a dozen guys who would be glad to
help. As someone else suggested, if you have a lathe, it's something
you can knock out in a very short time.
