Here is a little thing I used to do for bushings. It is somewhat quick
and accurate.
alot of hardware store stock this and all hobby shops I've seen.
use the K&S brass tubing. The sizes all telescope together. start with
the size that has a 1/2" I.D. Which is 17/32" O.D.
Use the next 3 larger sizes that brings you up to 5/8" O.D.
The tubes come in 1/32" increments up to 3/4" O.D. I believe.
I have put flux on each end then use a 250 Watt Weller solder gun to
heat them and add solder. It makes them almost a solid brass if done
right. I think they might work for this application.
It is a quick way if you do not have a lathe to make one.
