Gary, these old pen plotters should be able to be configured with most hpgl drivers. Windows xp comes standard with a few hp drivers, some of which are bound to hpgl. Maybe you can ask around for generic hpgl plotter drivers, it opens up the chances.

Hope this helps. Those plotters are from the good old hp "stronger than a brick ****house" times. I have a newer inkjet plotter and it SUCKS.

I,ve been searching the net for a windows XP plotter driver for an HP
7596A plotter...Only thing I found is Winline got $200...way to much
for hobby use...
