That's intended for something a bit more modern than GeeWhiz Basic.

You need to make a DOS boot disk (floppy, CD or USB - I'd go USB) and bypass
XP completely.

In addition, DOS will be unable to access your drives if they are NTFS, not
sure about FAT32. Hence thn recommendation for USB. Copy files over in XP,
then reboot. You'll need to adjust the BIOS in order to select the boot
option, they default to hard drive these days.
