My local electronic store has a selection of these little bulbs, but they're
all old stock; once they're gone, that's it. They probably only have stock
because no-one buys them...

They used to be common in toys and things like model railway sets, but LEDs
were replacing these even 20 years ago. The invention of blue & white LEDs
was the nail in the coffin.

Same for torches & bike lights, the current cheap LEDs are way better than
the old filament bulbs - see

amazing. The plastic lens is crap though - it scratches as soon as you look
at it, otherwise an excellent buy.
