Trust me, there is NO reason to mill the parts other than convenience.
Assuming they are printed well, the printed parts are PLENTY strong.
Remember, the loads on a 3d printer are trivial compared to the loads
on a router. That is why these "flimsy" little threaded rod
contraptions are reliably able to move 100mm/sec or more, some even up
to 200mm/sec or more (pushing 500IPM). The limitation is not the
plastic parts, it is the threaded rod. Replacing those is all that
needs (or needed once my design is released) to happen.
