What I have found for a very inexpensive source of computers Is to put
up an ad at laundromats and grocery stores.
most locals Charge people to get rid of old computers. I have 5 old
computers setting around with Win XP license stickers and they work. I
got them for less then $5 each a couple free. You do not need the
windows XP disk as long as you have the sticker with the code numbers.
I have bought 5 or 6 computer where I had to pay for an XP license.
some of the computers work others need power supplies usually. but they
are an inexpensive way to get computers with parallel ports. I also
have a friend who has a computer shop that deals mostly with
businesses. He knows what I can use and will give me call from time to
time. I fix some of these up to donate to people from our church whose
children need them for school work. YES there are people that poor
here in mid Wisconsin.
