MACH3 is a very popular and well supported software package. If you are
comfortable with LINUX you can get EMC2 free.
The version of MACH 3 that you download is fully functional but you can
only run 500 lines of code. I went that route because I knew nothing
about LINUX and had difficulty even getting it to run on my computer.
Being I am older and have trouble learning new things I chose to pay the
$150 and only have to learn 1 new thing.
With MACH3 you can use it on several machines if you have them with only
1 license. There are a lot of people using it in commercial
applications the support is fantastic.
I found out after weeks of fighting with LINUX that the problem I was
having was the processo in my computer had a glitch and would not run LINUX.
