Technically speaking, Mach resellers are not supposed to discount it unless they are selling it as part of a machine package or if they are assuming all support duties. This is the part of the reseller agreement with ArtSoft but it is impossible for them to enforce in reality. Some resellers only support for Mach is a link on their website for the machsupport.com form. It is kind of like buying a product from the big-box store who probably does not know much about the product they are selling, or buying from a specialist who will be there to support you.

There are also many dealers that sell it as part of their business,
often bundled with their hardware, but sometime just sold as a product.
Some of these offer it at a discount below the standard mach price. They
are fully legit copies, just sold by a dealer willing to take a little
less profit.

There is only one piece of software. If you download it and run it it
will run as a demo mode where there are several limits, most notably it
will only run about 500 lines of code. If you buy a license you will get
a license file in the mail which when loaded to the mach3 folder will
cause it to run in full mode where there are no limits.

So generally the other dealers selling mach3 are legitimate dealers and
you will have no problems where ever you buy it. There are many ebay
sellers that include mach3 in their package, but no license file, so you
are simply getting a demo version.
