  Bill,
Lets's see, you want to use a VFD to power your spindle motor,
right? I think the simplest way would be to use an existing spindle
motor contactor to control the VFD's "on" signal. Find a source in
your control for whatever voltage it takes to turn your VFD on and
run that through one of your spindle motor contactor terminals. For
instance, my Yaskawa drive needs 28Vdc on pin one for forward
rotation and the same on pin two for reverse rotation. This gives you
the on/off. Speed variation would be done via the VFD's remote
keypad.
Does your Anilam currently support programmed spindle speeds? If not
then the above should be all you need to do. If it does have
programmed spindle speeds then things will be a little trickier.
You'll have to find how it's done and see if that method can be
translated to signals for the VFD (may be easier said than done).
