Hi Frans,
I'm not sure of the standard connector.

My caliper only has pcb less than .1" center trace 'fingers' for the
contacts. I carefully bent a .1" IC socket stip(4pins worth) to touch
the pcb fingers, then soldered. Now it has a standard .1" socket for
experimentation. I also found that the baud rate was much higher than
the article mention, so I think the format may be different for newer
calipers. I'll have more info this evening.
