I made a Success of it!

Hi,

I've beaten it and RTlinux and EMC are apparently up and running again.
In the end I traced the problem to the extra line in the lilo.conf
script - append="mem=***" - I took the line out and everything started
to work. I was ploughing back through the 2" thick wad of print out I
have ammassed whilst trying to sort out the various recent problems and
I came across the original instructions I had used in the first
installation which make no mention of the extra line. As the original
installation worked without the extra line I figured it was worth a try
removing it and Hey presto - instant success. I did almost have a heart
attack when the mouse suddenly died again for no apparent reason but it
came back to life when I rebooted and so everything is now hunky-dory. I
understand the problem with my attempts using your script file and have
altered the script on my floppy to suit in case I need to reinstall
again but, with the extra line in it wouldn't have worked as-is.
On a slightly different tack, is there any command I can use to get an
idea of how much disk space I am using or have left?
