The real slo-syn motors for AC drive have only 3 wires, and are rated
at 115 V 60 Hz. In the beginning, the low-voltage stepper motors made by
Superior Electric allso carried the Slo-Syn brand name. Later, they added
"stepping motor" to the label to distinguish the two types, although really it is
only the number of turns of wire that differ. The motors are identical
in other design aspects.
