Milling Glass

Hi All,
I found a site that shows how to mill pictures onto
glass. I am hoping someone can translate the info a little.
What is the tool the guy is using mounted in what appears
to be a stepper as a spindle motor? You can step through
the site with the buttons on the bottom or click on
Folienschneiden mitder CNC Anlage. I know my last name is
the German word for small farmer but I am of English descent.
