You are correct about the different frequencies between US and European
power supplies.

Depending WHERE you are hoping to run your eqiupment, 60 Hz. current may be
available. Companies that build equipment for the US market have to test it
on US power supplies, so many have 60 Hz power supplies for that purpose.
Those power supplies may be of fairly high capacity. If this is the case,
you'll find theat the power connectors are different and you'll need to make
conversion cables.
