In the UK we used to get 240V ac, everything is still rated for 240V ac as
well, but I heard that it was actually being moved down to 230V ac. I have
seen a lot of stuff advertising itself as being able to run on European 220V
but I have heard not a word of 220V being used in the UK. I am willing to
believe we are on 230V but I still have to measure it to be sure. It is a
50hz supply. Industrial stuff uses 415V triple phase also at 50hz I think. I
am unsure as to what France, Germany and the rest of Europe use.
