Greetings
Just looked at some Pertech 8" drives from the orig. Mits Altair and some
Siemens from old OSI computers.
They appear to have a 4 lead stepper bipolar motor for the heads running on
24 volts
The Siemens motors are made by Singer. The lable is mounted against the PCB
so I can not read it with put disassembly. The spindle motor is a 115 VAC
sync motor with cap.
Yes daughter, these were considered state of the art high density storage
when your dad got into computers.
